Guerrilla Marketing Meets Art Basel: Sprout Social's Bold Miami Beach Coffee Collab

During the excitement of Art Basel Miami Beach, Sprout Social executed a savvy guerrilla marketing campaign that creatively combined social media engagement with local culture, all while keeping Art Basel attendees energized and informed.

On December 6th and 7th, 2024, Sprout Social partnered with Taste Café, a beloved Miami Beach coffee spot, to bring a bold marketing activation to life. The campaign featured a dedicated street team of brand ambassadors who hit the streets of Miami Beach, handing out free coffees to art lovers and tourists. But these weren't just any cups of coffee—each drink came with a custom Sprout Social-branded coffee sleeve, ensuring the brand’s presence was felt with every sip.

In addition to the free coffee giveaways, Sprout Social made sure to leave a lasting impression with strategically placed marketing materials. Inside Taste Café, eye-catching posters highlighted the brand’s services, and branded sticky notes were scattered throughout the town, making sure that Sprout Social’s message followed visitors wherever they went.

To tie the campaign together, both the brand ambassadors and café staff wore matching Sprout Social-branded shirts, creating a unified, street-level presence that felt both personal and impactful. The activation not only leveraged the art-driven energy of Miami Beach during Art Basel but also captured the attention of an audience who values creativity, innovation, and connection.

By blending the worlds of social media management with the local coffee culture, Sprout Social's guerrilla marketing campaign proved to be a fun, effective, and highly memorable way to engage with the Miami Beach crowd—and show them that social media management can be as refreshing as a free cup of coffee.
